Objective

 

The aim of the project "MODIP Harokopio University" (Code MIS 304107, subproject 1 "MODIP Harokopio University),  co-funded by the European Social Fund and National Resources and incorporated  in Measure 1.1 of the"Education and Lifelong Learning" Programme of NSRF (Integration Act number 25543/06.12.2010) is the development of a  framework for continuous, reliable and objective assessment of the quality of education, through systematic data collection and processing. These data concern the quality of teaching, studies  and research  conducted  in the four (4) Departments of the University both at undergraduate and postgraduate level as well as the quality of other services provided by the University for both students and staff.

 The  assessment results will be used  to enhance the quality of teaching, to increase the quantity and especially the quality of research work and to identify personnel and infrastructure weaknesses and deficiencies which may hinder the general aims set by the four departments of Harokopio.  The evaluation and quality assurance processes for the Departments of Harokopio University will be based on regulations set by  Act number  3374/2-8-2005.

 The MODIP (Quality Assurance Unit) of Harokopio University, is responsible for organizing and supervising the procedure at institutional level, whereas the OMEA (Internal Assessment Unit) at a departmental level.

The specific objectives of the project are the following:

a)      infrastructure for automating the process by installing and developing  appropriate software and any other required material

b)      annual departmental and services reports

c)      institutional reports provided every second year

d)     internal departmental evaluation reports and central services reports upon completion of the project

e)      organization of  venue and publication of information material.
